Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC)

GROUND CALCIUM CARBONATE (GCC)

Availabel Variant

Calcium Carbonate is a chemical compound with the formula CaCO3, which is generally contained in limestone & marble rock, formed by weathering and sedimentation of snail shells, shells and coral over millions of years ago.  Calcium Carbonate is one of the important chemical compound and its very extensive use in human life.

Based on production process, Calcium Carbonate divided in two type, there is Heavy Calcium Carbonate (Ground Calcium Carbonate) and Light Calcium Carbonate (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate). Difference of the two types of Calcium Carbonate is caused by difference in the size of the micro structure of its particle. Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) have a micro structure about 2-20 micron is larger than micro structure of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) which micro structure in nano scale.

Currently, we produce Ground Calcium Carbonate with various size, according to customer demand. With our production plant, we can supply Calcium Carbonate ranging in size start from gravel, granular until powder with a size of about 2 – 20 microns.

In its application, Calcium Carbonate products have been widely used in industry, such as; Pulp and Paper, Fertilizer Industry and Land Rehabilitation, Food Industry and Medicine, Industrial Glass and Ceramics, Industrial plastic and PVC, Building Construction (concrete, plaster, asphalt), Drilling Oil, Rubber Industry, Industrial Paints & Coatings, Industrial purification & Metal Smelting Livestock Feed Industry, Industrial Adhesive and Sealant.
